Pakistan-China Joint Naval Exercise Sea Guardian-2023 Successfully Concludes

Karachi, The bilateral naval exercise Sea Guardian – 2023 between the Pakistan Navy and the People’s Liberation Army (Navy) of China culminated with a closing ceremony at the Pakistan Navy Dockyard in Karachi. The exercise, conducted in Karachi and the North Arabian Sea, saw significant participation from both navies.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the exercise involved six units of the Chinese Navy, including a destroyer, frigates, a submarine, an oil tanker, and a rescue ship, along with a detachment of marines. The primary objective of Sea Guardian – 2023 was to enhance maritime cooperation and defense relations, facilitating mutual exchange of maritime experiences between the two navies. This exercise underscores the growing maritime collaboration between Pakistan and China, reflecting their commitment to regional stability and maritime security.
