BEIJING: The 10th Round of Pakistan-China Consular Consultations concluded in Beijing on March 31, 2026. Leading the discussions, Mr. Tariq Wazir, Director General (China) from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan, and Mr. Long Zhao, Director General, Department of Consular Affairs from the Chinese side, reviewed a wide range of consular issues. The consultations highlighted the ongoing development in people-to-people exchanges between the two countries.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, both nations expressed satisfaction with the progress of bilateral consular matters and reiterated their commitment to enhancing cooperation. The discussions focused on improving facilitation for each other’s nationals, aiming to further strengthen the consular relationship.
The Consular Consultations serve as an institutionalized mechanism for Pakistan and China, providing a platform to address various consular matters, including visa and immigration issues, as well as the protection and welfare of nationals in both countries.
