Islamabad: NA Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq congratulated the nation on Independence Day and Pakistan’s victory in “Ma‘raka-e-Haq” against Indian aggression, a success that amplified the freedom festivities. He emphasized that liberty is a precious gift, demanding both appreciation and protection from every citizen.
Sadiq highlighted that Pakistan’s creation stemmed from the sacrifices of forefathers and the relentless efforts of the nation’s founders. He reminded everyone that the subcontinent’s Muslims sacrificed immensely to secure an independent homeland. These sacrifices, he stated, serve as a guiding light for future generations.
Sadiq declared this day a time to reaffirm the commitment to defend the motherland against any threat. He stressed the importance of unity and collaboration for the country’s advancement and well-being.
Praising Pakistan’s armed forces, he recounted their decisive victory in the “Ma‘raka-e-Haq” conflict (May 6-10, 2025), led by Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir. This triumph, he proclaimed, will be remembered as a demonstration of military prowess and national resilience.
The Speaker commended the public’s unwavering support for the armed forces during the aggression. He acknowledged the nation’s history of thwarting enemy plans through determination and unity. He paid homage to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives defending the homeland, crediting them for the current freedom.
Sadiq emphasized Parliament’s role in addressing national issues through legislation and policy. He urged members to prioritize national stability and find solutions to public concerns. He applauded the unity shown by parliamentarians during Operation Bunyan al-Marsous.
Expressing solidarity with Palestine and Kashmir, Sadiq acknowledged their ongoing struggle for self-determination. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s continued support until they achieve this right. He reiterated that freedom is a cherished possession, requiring both thankfulness and safeguarding.
Addressing the youth, Sadiq encouraged them to embrace the essence of independence, pursue knowledge, and contribute to the nation’s progress and security.
