Pakistan Celebrates Independence Day In Singapore With Prayers For Kashmir


Islamabad: A flag-raising function at Pakistan House in Singapore marked the nation’s 78th Independence Day and Marka-e-Haq. The event began with a recitation from the Holy Quran, followed by Charge d’Affaires Salman Mahmood raising the Pakistani flag as the national anthem played. Messages from the President and Prime Minister were then read.



Mr. Mahmood honored the leaders of the Pakistan Movement for their efforts in achieving an independent homeland. He praised the armed forces for protecting the nation and acknowledged the Pakistani diaspora’s contribution to national development, encouraging their continued involvement in bolstering the economy.



Numerous community members attended the celebration. Attendees observed a moment of silence to remember those who fought for Pakistan’s freedom and to express solidarity with the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJ and K).



The event closed with prayers for peace and prosperity in Pakistan, with special focus on the people of IIOJ and K.
