Pakistan Celebrates Independence Day in Luton with Grand Event

LUTON: A significant event took place in Luton on Saturday to commemorate Pakistan’s Independence Day, alongside the success of Operation Bunyanum Marsoos. The event, known as Marka-e-Haq, featured Pakistan’s High Commissioner to the UK, Dr. Mohammad Faisal, as the chief guest.

In his address, Dr. Faisal paid homage to the founding forefathers of Pakistan for their sacrifices in securing freedom for Muslims in the subcontinent. He highlighted the responsibility of the current generation to strengthen the nation for the future.

Dr. Faisal also spoke on the achievements of the armed forces in Operation Bunyanum Marsoos and Marka-e-Haq. He acknowledged the crucial support of the Pakistani diaspora in the UK during the May conflict.

The High Commissioner underscored the importance of youth and overseas Pakistanis in the economic growth of both Great Britain and Pakistan. He emphasized their role in fostering development and cooperation between the two nations.

Local officials, including counselors and the mayor, recognized the contributions of British Pakistanis to Luton’s socio-economic progress. The event concluded with a cake-cutting ceremony, led by Dr. Faisal, host Qari Allama Abdul Aziz, and other attendees, in celebration of Pakistan’s Independence Day.
