Pakistan Celebrates Independence Day, Honors Marka-e-Haq Triumph


Islamabad: Pakistan’s embassy in Beijing held a flag-raising ceremony to mark the nation’s 79th Independence Day and commemorate the victory in Marka-e-Haq during Operation Bunyan al-Marsous.



Deputy Head of Mission, Bilal Mahmood Chaudhary, raised the national flag. Messages from Pakistan’s President, Prime Minister, and Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister were read, honoring the sacrifices of the freedom struggle led by Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, resulting in Pakistan’s creation on August 14, 1947.



The messages also praised the nation’s success in Marka-e-Haq during the conflict with India from May 6-10, 2025, and stressed the significance of unity, resilience, and national values in building a prosperous Pakistan.



Chaudhary congratulated the Pakistani community in China and highlighted the Mark-e-Haq victory as a demonstration of the strength and determination of the Pakistani people and military. He lauded the strong Pakistan-China relationship and praised the Pakistani diaspora’s contribution to national growth and bilateral ties.



The event included patriotic songs and a video showcasing the events of Marka-e-Haq, adding a sense of national pride to the celebration.
