Pakistan Calls for Youth Empowerment at Commonwealth Dialogue in Samoa

Samoa: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar underscored the critical role of youth leadership in advancing a resilient Commonwealth at the Commonwealth Intergenerational Dialogue in Samoa. Highlighting Pakistan’s commitment to youth empowerment, Dar outlined key initiatives aimed at fostering leadership among young people and promoting inclusive growth across Commonwealth nations.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Dar emphasized Pakistan’s Prime Minister’s Youth Programme, which has provided millions with education, employment, and engagement opportunities. He also introduced Pakistan’s recent initiatives, such as the revised Commonwealth Youth Programme Memorandum of Understanding (CYP-MOU) and the establishment of the Commonwealth Asia Youth Alliance (CAYA), designed to promote youth collaboration across Asia.

Dar praised the contributions of young leaders in climate action and digital innovation and called on Commonwealth leaders to view youth as partners in creating a sustainable future. He advocated for sustained intergenerational collaboration to address global challenges and ensure progress within the Commonwealth.
