Dubai: Pakistan and Bangladesh have agreed to enhance their bilateral trade ties, as diplomats from both nations convened in Dubai to discuss potential areas of cooperation. The meeting underscored the shared interest in fostering stronger economic partnerships.
According to a statement by Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the meeting was held between the Consul General of Bangladesh in Dubai, Muhammad Rashedujjaman, and his Pakistani counterpart, Hussain Muhammad. The dialogue focused on the importance of strengthening trade relations between the two countries.
Hussain Muhammad, welcoming his Bangladeshi counterpart, highlighted the pivotal role of trade in their bilateral relationship. Both diplomats acknowledged the opportunities for collaboration and agreed to activate their consulates’ trade sections to promote bilateral cooperation.
Additionally, the discussion extended to various consular services, such as passport issuance, national identity cards, and visa procedures. They also concurred on enhancing information sharing and future collaboration in community services and public awareness initiatives.
The meeting marks a step forward in diplomatic efforts to bolster economic ties and improve the breadth of consular services between Pakistan and Bangladesh.
