Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal Partners with Hum Mashal-e-Rah Foundation to Empower Women

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal (PBM) and Hum Mashal-e-Rah Foundation (HMR) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on initiatives aimed at empowering women, particularly those who are differently-abled or underprivileged. The partnership was formalized during a ceremony in Islamabad, attended by several dignitaries including Senator Capt. Shaheen Khalid Butt, Managing Director of PBM, and Amnah Aftab, Chairperson and Founder Director of HMR.

According to a statement by Pakistan Bait-Ul-Mal, the agreement outlines a joint commitment to develop an effective delivery mechanism within PBM’s Business Facilitation Center. The initiative is designed to create job opportunities and enhance professional skills for trainees from Women Empowerment Centres, enabling them to become self-reliant and valued members of society.

During the ceremony, Managing Director Senator Shaheen Khalid Butt emphasized the importance of women entrepreneurs in the socio-economic development of Pakistan. He pledged to extend PBM’s services to empower courageous women striving for economic independence. Senator Butt also acknowledged the contributions of HMR in supporting underprivileged communities and expressed gratitude for their partnership.

Amnah Aftab, Chairperson of HMR, highlighted the foundation’s dedication to humanitarian efforts for the needy across the country. She commended PBM’s initiatives to improve the lives of those affected by poverty and committed to bolstering the collaborative efforts to support vulnerable groups.
