Islamabad: Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal (PBM) and Hum Mashal-e-Rah Foundation (HMR) have formally entered into a partnership aimed at empowering women and enhancing their professional skills through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The agreement was signed during a ceremony in Islamabad, where key figures from both organizations were present.
According to a statement by Press Information Department, the partnership seeks to implement an effective delivery mechanism at PBM’s Business Facilitation Center. This initiative is focused on creating job opportunities for trainees of Women Empowerment Centres, enabling them to become self-sufficient members of society. The collaboration will also target empowering underprivileged and differently-abled females.
During the event, PBM Managing Director Senator Capt. Shaheen Khalid Butt highlighted the significance of the collaboration for women’s empowerment. He emphasized the role women entrepreneurs can play in the country’s socio-economic development. Senator Butt expressed his commitment to supporting women who demonstrate resilience and a desire for economic independence.
Amnah Aftab, Chairperson of HMR Foundation, underscored the foundation’s dedication to humanitarian services and its alignment with PBM’s efforts to uplift vulnerable communities. She affirmed HMR’s commitment to intensifying joint efforts in support of women and girls associated with PBM’s initiatives.
The ceremony was attended by dignitaries including CEO Punjab Charity Commission Amir Shahzad, who acknowledged the potential impact of the partnership on empowering women across the nation.
