Pakistan, Austria Seek Stronger Ties

Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Austrian Chancellor Christian Stocker have pledged to bolster bilateral cooperation in various sectors. The leaders met on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly’s 80th session in New York. During the amicable discussion, Sharif expressed Pakistan’s eagerness to strengthen its partnership with Austria in areas of common interest.

He identified trade, tourism, climate action, and education as potential avenues for fruitful collaboration, emphasizing the need to boost bilateral trade. Stocker reciprocated the sentiment, conveying his willingness to explore new cooperative pathways. Both parties concurred on exchanging delegations to foster greater collaboration in tourism.
