Pakistan attaches special importance to ties with Netherlands: Qureshi 

Islamabad, February 01, 2022 (PPI-OT):Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi telephoned his Dutch counterpart Wopke Hoekstra and exchanged views on important regional, global and bilateral issues. The two Foreign Ministers agreed to enhance bilateral cooperation in diverse fields including trade, investment and tourism as well as at different international fora including the United Nations.

Shah Mahmood Qureshi congratulated his Dutch counterpart on assuming office of Foreign Minister. He said Pakistan attaches special importance to bilateral relations with Netherlands. Briefing his Dutch counterpart on the details of Pakistan’s geopolitical economic agenda, Shah Mahmood Qureshi said Pakistan is an emerging market with a population of 220 million having vast investment opportunities.

He said Dutch companies can make huge profits in Pakistan by investing in agriculture, construction, energy and information technology sectors. Shah Mahmood Qureshi briefed his Dutch counterpart on Pakistan’s efforts for peace in the region, including Afghanistan. Dutch Foreign Minister appreciated Pakistan’s efforts to reduce human tragedy in Afghanistan.
