Kharian, Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir lauded the Pakistan Army for its exceptional attributes of character, courage, and competence in combating terrorism. His commendation came during the closing ceremony of the Seventh Pakistan Army Team Spirit Exercise-2024, highlighting the army’s continuous dedication to upholding high standards of military proficiency and teamwork.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, General Munir emphasized the importance of mutual learning through exercises like the Pakistan Army Team Spirit. He pointed out that such forums are crucial for combining professional military skills and tactical acumen, enhancing the team spirit among soldiers in response to the evolving nature of warfare. The “Patrolling Exercise,” spanning sixty hours, was designed to refine combat skills by facilitating the exchange of innovative ideas and experiences among participants.
The exercise saw participation from seven teams of the Pakistan Army and fifteen teams from friendly countries, including Bahrain, Jordan, Kazakhstan, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Maldives, Morocco, Qatar, the United States, Uzbekistan, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and Turkiye. Observers from Azerbaijan, China, Germany, Indonesia, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and Myanmar were also present to witness the exercise, underscoring its international significance.
General Munir commended the teams for their professionalism, endurance, and morale throughout the exercise’s various stages. He also presented awards to outstanding individuals and teams, acknowledging their achievements and contributions to the exercise’s success.
The event was well-received by international observers and Defence Attachés from participating countries, who appreciated the exercise’s professional execution. Upon arrival, the Army Chief was welcomed by the Commander of Mangla Corps, marking the beginning of a significant day dedicated to showcasing and reinforcing the Pakistan Army’s capabilities and its commitment to combating terrorism.
