Rawalpindi: General Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), Chief of Army Staff (COAS), led the Corps Commanders’ Conference (CCC) at the General Headquarters (GHQ), focusing on national security and the current geo-strategic environment.
According to Inter Services Public Relations, the conference began with participants offering Fateha and paying tribute to the Shuhada of the Armed Forces, Law Enforcement Agencies, and citizens who have sacrificed their lives for the peace and stability of Pakistan, particularly in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK). The forum was briefed on the prevailing geo-strategic environment, national security challenges, and strategic and operational responses to emerging threats.
The senior military leadership evaluated the threats from inimical forces, malicious actors, subversive proxies, and facilitators of external and internal adversaries, especially active in Balochistan and KPK. They deliberated on several measures to neutralize these threats and reaffirmed that the Pakistan Army, with the support of the people, is committed to maintaining the successes achieved against terrorism.
The conference highlighted the Army’s role as a disciplined institution that upholds the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and loyalty to the state. The Army’s stringent accountability system was emphasized, ensuring no room for exceptions or partiality, thereby fortifying its integrity and ensuring that no individual is above the law.
COAS Munir stressed the importance of a robust legal system and assured comprehensive support to the government, administrative apparatus, and Law Enforcement Agencies for swift and lawful action against terrorists, anarchists, and criminal mafias. Satisfaction was expressed over ongoing efforts against illegal spectrum operating in collusion with terrorist networks, and the critical need to safeguard national cyber space through stringent cybersecurity measures was underscored.
The forum also showed solidarity with the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, honoring the martyrs of their Freedom Movement and condemning the continued violence and genocide of Palestinians by Israel.
Confidence in the operational preparedness and readiness of the Pakistan Army was expressed, with a commitment to continue upholding high standards in pursuit of professional excellence.
