Rawalpindi: An investiture ceremony at the General Headquarters in Rawalpindi saw General Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff, awarding military honors to Pakistan Army officers and soldiers for their valor in operations and distinguished national service.
The ceremony included a significant presence of senior military officials and families of the honorees. Awards such as the Sitara-i-Imtiaz (Military) and Tamgha-i-Basalat were bestowed, with posthumous medals received by the families of fallen soldiers.
General Munir paid tribute to martyrs and veterans, emphasizing their role in securing peace and liberty through their sacrifices. He acknowledged the strength and sacrifices of the families of the deceased soldiers.
The Chief of Army Staff also praised the Pakistan Army and Law Enforcement Agencies for their efforts in counterterrorism, highlighting their success in neutralizing high-value threats.
