Islamabad, In a recent aerial engagement, the Pakistan Army has successfully shot down an Indian spy quadcopter that had intruded into Pakistani airspace along the Line of Control (LoC). The incident occurred at 12:55 pm on Sunday, marking another episode in the series of airspace violations concerning the two neighboring countries.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the downed quadcopter was engaged by Pakistani forces while it was conducting espionage activities near the LoC. The remains of the quadcopter, which were recovered yesterday, bore an insignia of the Indian Army, confirming its origins and purpose in the contested area.
The incident is reminiscent of the February 27, 2019 event, when the Pakistan Air Force shot down Indian warplanes that had violated Pakistani airspace, an action known as Operation Swift Retort. This latest encounter underscores the ongoing tensions between Pakistan and India, particularly along the Line of Control, a region that has witnessed numerous confrontations over the years.
