Pakistan Army Commits to Uphold Counter-Terrorism Sacrifices and National Security


Rawalpindi: Corps commanders of the Pakistan Army, led by Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir, convened today in Rawalpindi to pledge their ongoing commitment to national security and to honor the sacrifices made in counter-terrorism efforts. The Corps Commanders’ Conference highlighted the Army’s disciplined ethos and its resolve not to let these sacrifices be in vain.



According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the forum reiterated the Army’s commitment to maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and loyalty. It was emphasized that a well-established and rigorous system of accountability is in place to ensure these values are preserved, allowing no exceptions or partiality.



The conference also stressed the necessity of supporting the government and law enforcement agencies in combating terrorism, anarchy, and criminal activities swiftly and within the legal framework. The forum discussed ongoing efforts to combat illegal spectrum operations linked to terrorist networks and the importance of enhancing cyber security measures to protect national cyber space.



Furthermore, the forum expressed solidarity with the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, acknowledging the human rights violations they face. The violence and genocide of Palestinians by Israel were also condemned.



The conference reviewed the operational readiness of the Pakistan Army and expressed confidence in its preparedness to face any threats. Discussions covered the geo-strategic environment, national security challenges, and appropriate strategic and operational responses.



The threats posed by inimical forces, malicious actors, and subversive proxies, particularly in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, were also assessed. A range of measures to neutralize these threats was deliberated upon.



Participants also paid tribute to the martyrs of the Armed Forces, Law Enforcement Agencies, and citizens who have sacrificed their lives for the peace and stability of Pakistan, particularly in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
