Pakistan Army Commanders Decry Human Rights Violations in IIOJK at Corps Commanders’ Conference

Karachi, The top brass of the Pakistan Army, during a two-day long Corps Commanders’ Conference held in Rawalpindi, has voiced serious concerns over the ongoing repression and human rights violations by Indian military forces in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). The conference, chaired by Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir, focused on these pressing issues, as detailed in an Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) press release.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the forum took a strong stance against the recent incidents of abduction, torture, and killing of civilians in IIOJK by the Indian Army. These acts were unanimously condemned by the participants, who labeled them as grave crimes against humanity. They asserted that such acts could not undermine the determination of the Kashmiri people, who are engaged in a struggle for their lawful right to self-determination.

The Pakistan Army’s top brass also reaffirmed its commitment to support the Kashmiri people, pledging ongoing political, moral, and diplomatic support. This support is aimed at seeking a resolution to the Kashmir dispute in accordance with international law and relevant United Nations Security Council resolutions.

Additionally, the commanders resolved to decisively deal with all terrorists, including their facilitators and abettors, who are believed to be working at the behest of hostile forces aiming to destabilize Pakistan. They emphasized that such elements would be confronted with the full might of the state.

Furthermore, the conference reiterated the Pakistan Army’s unwavering resolve to defend the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity against both direct and indirect threats. On this occasion, the Army Chief underscored the importance of continuously maintaining operational excellence in both cognitive and physical realms. He emphasized the pursuit of high standards in motivation and training as essential to the army’s preparedness and effectiveness.
