Pakistan Armed Forces Commemorate 76th Anniversary of Captain Muhammad Sarwar Shaheed’s Martyrdom


Rawalpindi: Today marks the 76th anniversary of the martyrdom of Captain Muhammad Sarwar Shaheed, Nishan-e-Haider, with the Armed Forces of Pakistan, CJCsSC, and Services Chiefs paying homage to his legacy of bravery and sacrifice.



According to Inter Services Public Relations, the ceremony honored Captain Sarwar, the first recipient of the Nishan-e-Haider, Pakistan’s highest military award for bravery. Captain Sarwar was recognized for his extraordinary courage during the conflict at Tilpatra in Azad Kashmir in 1948, where he ultimately sacrificed his life in defense of the nation.



The annual remembrance of Captain Sarwar’s sacrifice serves as a poignant reminder of the valiant efforts and sacrifices made by the Armed Forces of Pakistan in protecting the sovereignty and integrity of the country. The Armed Forces reiterated their resolve to remember and honor all the brave soldiers who have laid down their lives for the motherland.
