Pakistan Anticipates Long-Term Benefits from SCO Meeting, Says Information Minister Tarar


Islamabad: Following the conclusion of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) meeting hosted in Islamabad, Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Attaullah Tarar, underscored the event’s potential to yield significant long-term benefits for Pakistan. The meeting, which brought together leaders from across the region, was marked by fruitful discussions on trade, investment, and regional stability.



According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Minister Tarar highlighted the positive reception of Pakistan’s role by visiting dignitaries and expressed optimism about the country’s economic trajectory. He noted improvements in economic indicators and teased further positive developments expected in the near future.



In addition to economic discussions, Tarar addressed internal security concerns, particularly regarding recent threats of arson linked to political tensions over constitutional amendments. He emphasized that the law would stringently respond to any attempts to disrupt public safety and property.



The minister also mentioned ongoing dialogues with various countries aimed at enhancing trade and investment ties, reinforcing Pakistan’s strategic focus on bolstering its economic and diplomatic relationships through platforms like the SCO.
