Islamabad: Pakistan’s Minister for Commerce, Jam Kamal Khan, announced today that Pakistan is eager to strengthen its economic partnership with Vietnam. Speaking at the Pakistan-Vietnam Business Forum, Khan emphasized the longstanding relations between the two nations, which are rooted in mutual respect and cooperation.
Khan outlined the potential for expanding bilateral trade across several sectors, including textiles, leather, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, fisheries, information technology, renewable energy, and e-commerce. He highlighted the great promise these sectors hold for both countries.
A key development discussed at the forum was the agreement in principle to pursue a Preferential Trade Agreement. This move is expected to enhance economic cooperation between Pakistan and Vietnam significantly.
Khan expressed confidence that the business forum would mark the beginning of a new chapter in economic relations between the two countries. He noted that the focus would be on building a partnership based on mutual trust and shared prosperity.
