Pakistan and Uzbekistan Commit to Strengthening Bilateral Relations and Accelerating Railway Project

Islamabad, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar emphasized Pakistan’s intention to deepen ties with Uzbekistan across various sectors, particularly in trade and economy, during a meeting with Uzbek Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov in Islamabad.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the discussions highlighted the strong, friendly relations existing between the two nations, with a mutual commitment to further enhance these ties. The Uzbek Foreign Minister expressed his country’s high regard for its relationship with Pakistan, describing Pakistan as a “second home” for Uzbeks.

A significant focus of the meeting was the Uzbekistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan Railway Project, with both sides resolving to expedite efforts for its early implementation, underscoring the project’s potential to boost connectivity and economic integration between the countries.
