Islamabad, Pakistan and the United States have reached an agreement to boost cooperation in the Information Technology (IT) and Telecommunications sectors. This decision aims to enhance bilateral relations and foster growth in these critical areas of technology.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the agreement was finalized during a meeting between Shaza Fatima Khawaja, Pakistan’s Minister of State for IT and Telecommunication, and Donald Blome, the United States Ambassador to Pakistan. Minister Khawaja expressed Pakistan’s desire to deepen relations with the US in IT and Telecom, emphasizing the strategic importance of these sectors to Pakistan’s development.
Ambassador Blome affirmed the United States’ commitment to fully cooperate with Pakistan in expanding its IT and Telecommunication capacities. This partnership is expected to facilitate technological exchanges and support economic growth through enhanced connectivity and innovation.
