Pakistan and US to Strengthen Economic Ties with Focus on Trade and Investment


Islamabad: The Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue, Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb, met with Rizwan Saeed Sheikh, the Ambassador of Pakistan to the United States, to discuss enhancing bilateral relations between Pakistan and the United States with an emphasis on trade, investment, and economic cooperation. The discussions underscored the significance of the partnership between the two nations and the United States’ role as Pakistan’s largest trading partner and export destination.



According to Press Information Department, the meeting aimed to boost economic diplomacy and explore opportunities for joint business ventures and collaborations. Both parties agreed to leverage Pakistan’s positive macroeconomic developments, including improved economic indicators and stability, to attract investment. They emphasized engaging the Pakistani diaspora in the United States to promote investment in Pakistan. Additionally, the meeting resolved to provide regular updates on macroeconomic data to stakeholders and the diaspora to encourage further investment in Pakistan’s economy.
