Pakistan and US Navies Conduct Joint Exercise to Bolster Regional Maritime Peace

Karachi: The US Navy Ship USS O’ Kane recently docked in Karachi and participated in a joint maritime exercise with the Pakistan Navy Ship BABUR in the North Arabian Sea, aimed at strengthening mutual capabilities and reinforcing commitments toward regional maritime peace and stability.

According to Pakistan Navy, “The exercise focused on enhancing interoperability and demonstrating the resolve of both navies toward maintaining peace in regional maritime operations.” During the USS O’ Kane’s visit, its Commanding Officer met with Commander Pakistan Fleet Rear Admiral Abdul Munib to discuss tactical proficiency and the interoperability of the two forces in maritime operations.

The joint exercise underscores the Pakistan Navy’s dedication to regional peace, stability, and maritime order, in collaboration with established global partners. Such collaborations are essential in combating terrorism, piracy, narcotics, and human trafficking in the region and beyond. The visit of the USS O’ Kane also highlights the enduring naval and bilateral ties between Pakistan and the United States.
