Pakistan and UK Commit to Enhanced Counter-Terrorism Cooperation

London: In a reaffirmation of bilateral security ties, Pakistan and the United Kingdom have agreed to continue their cooperative efforts in counter-terrorism. The commitment was highlighted during a meeting between British Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State Hamish Falconer and Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Falconer recognized Pakistan’s significant contributions and sacrifices in the global fight against terrorism. Interior Minister Naqvi emphasized that Pakistan, having suffered greatly from terrorism, remains committed to collaborative international efforts aimed at eradicating this global menace.

During the discussions, Naqvi also outlined Pakistan’s ongoing initiatives, including the impending second phase of repatriation of Afghan refugees, underscoring Pakistan’s commitment to regional peace and stability. He reiterated Pakistan’s aspiration for fostering cordial relations with neighboring countries.
