Pakistan and U.S. Begin Joint Counter-Terrorism Exercise at National Counter Terrorism Centre


Pabbi: A two-week-long bilateral joint exercise between Pakistan and the United States focusing on counter-terrorism tactics commenced on June 29, 2024, at the National Counter Terrorism Centre in Pabbi. This initiative aims to enhance tactical skills and exchange best practices for combating terrorism at the infantry company level.



According to Inter Services Public Relations, the exercise involves infantry companies from both nations and is designed to share valuable counter-terrorism experiences and refine operational drills essential for effective response strategies in urban warfare scenarios. Participants will focus on improving marksmanship and other tactical abilities critical for sub-unit level operations.



The exercise’s inaugural event was attended by the General Officer Commanding Kharian Garrison, underscoring the high level of military collaboration between Pakistan and the United States. This joint exercise highlights the ongoing commitment of both nations to strengthen their capabilities in addressing the global challenge of terrorism through cooperative training and shared learning.
