Pakistan and Turkmenistan Collaborate on Energy and Infrastructure Initiatives

Islamabad: Pakistan and Turkmenistan are working together to develop reliable energy supplies, expand regional infrastructure, and strengthen economic connectivity. These efforts were highlighted during a recent briefing held by the Embassy of Turkmenistan for Pakistani media in Islamabad.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Embassy emphasized the importance Turkmenistan places on its relationship with Pakistan, especially as the nation marks the 35th anniversary of its independence. The briefing underscored key projects such as the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) gas pipeline, the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan (TAP) electricity transmission project, cross-border railway development, and fiber-optic connectivity. These initiatives are seen as crucial for promoting regional economic integration through energy, transport, and digital infrastructure.

The Embassy also noted that Pakistan serves as a significant partner for Turkmenistan in accessing South Asian markets. This partnership is essential for Turkmenistan’s strategic goal of diversifying energy export routes, thus strengthening economic ties between the two countries.
