Pakistan and Turkiye Vow to Strengthen Ties and Address Regional Challenges


Islamabad: Pakistan and Turkiye have pledged to enhance their bilateral cooperation and jointly tackle regional challenges. This commitment was highlighted during a productive telephone conversation between Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, underscoring the deep-rooted friendship and cooperation between the two nations.



According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the leaders exchanged Eid ul Adha greetings and celebrated the strong cultural and historical ties that bind their countries. They agreed to bolster cooperation across various sectors including trade, investment, defense, and tourism. The discussion also touched upon pressing global issues, notably the situation in Palestine, with both leaders calling for increased international efforts to alleviate the suffering of Palestinians.



The conversation reaffirmed the strategic partnership, with Prime Minister Sharif extending an invitation to President Erdogan to visit Pakistan for the 7th session of the High Level Strategic Consultative Council, aiming to further cement the collaboration between the two countries.
