Pakistan and Turkiye Discuss Enhancing Bilateral Trade and Joint Ventures

Washington DC: In a significant meeting with H.E. Mr. Mehmet Simsek, Turkiye’s Treasury and Finance Minister, Pakistan’s Finance Minister Mr. Muhammad Aurangzeb emphasized the strong historical and fraternal ties between the two nations. He highlighted the potential for increasing bilateral trade and shared insights into learning from Turkiye’s experience in power sector reforms. Further, he extended an invitation to Turkish firms to engage in mutually beneficial joint ventures with Pakistani counterparts.

According to Press Information Department, Minister Aurangzeb’s discussions underscored the aim to leverage longstanding relations by exploring new avenues for economic cooperation, particularly in the power sector and through increased business partnerships. The meeting reflects both countries’ commitment to deepen economic ties and enhance collaboration in key areas of mutual interest.

The engagement between the two finance ministers is a part of ongoing efforts to strengthen economic relations and foster direct investment through joint ventures that could benefit both economies.
