Pakistan and Turkey Reaffirm Commitment to Strengthen Ties and Support for Gaza


Istanbul, During an extraordinary meeting of the D-8 Council of Foreign Ministers focused on the situation in Gaza, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Pakistan, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, met with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to discuss bilateral relations and the ongoing conflict in Gaza.



According to Press Information Department, the meeting highlighted both countries’ dedication to supporting the Palestinian cause and addressing the crisis in Gaza. Senator Dar commended Turkey for its role in hosting the ministerial meeting, emphasizing the unified stance of the D-8 member countries in advocating for an end to Israeli aggression and the provision of humanitarian aid to Gaza. Discussions also covered the progression of Pakistan-Turkey relations, with both leaders expressing a desire to enhance their multifaceted partnership through increased economic and trade ties.



Senator Dar reiterated an invitation to President Erdogan to visit Pakistan for the upcoming 7th High Level Strategic Cooperation Council, aiming to further deepen the strong, brotherly cooperation between the two nations.
