Islamabad, In a notable meeting, Turkish Ambassador Dr. Mehmet Pacaci and Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Commerce Jam Kamal Khan discussed strategies to deepen economic ties and boost bilateral trade to the target of $5 billion USD. The dialogue underscored the strong, multifaceted relationship between the two nations and identified key areas for expanding trade and cooperation.

According to Press Information Department, Dr. Pacaci and Minister Jam reviewed the current state of Pakistan-Turkey relations, emphasizing the need for increased connectivity and collaboration to reach the ambitious trade goal. They acknowledged the foundation laid by the historical and growing relationship in areas like economy, politics, defense, culture, and education.

Minister Jam praised the recent Preferential Trade Agreement (PTA) between Pakistan and Turkey as a positive step toward achieving this target and anticipated the signing of more Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) to broaden commerce and trade relations in the foreseeable future.
