Islamabad: Pakistan and The Netherlands have agreed to sustain their collaborations across a spectrum of sectors, following a meeting of the 11th Round of Bilateral Political Consultations in Islamabad today.

According to a statement by Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the talks were led by Pakistan’s Foreign Secretary, Amna Baloch, and the Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of The Netherlands, Christiaan Rebergen. The discussions covered the entire range of bilateral relations, as well as regional and global issues of mutual interest.

Both sides expressed satisfaction with the current momentum in bilateral cooperation. They committed to ongoing engagements in areas such as politics, economy, trade and investment, climate change, agriculture, water management, dairy and livestock, education, and culture.

The Foreign Secretary highlighted the importance of strengthening trade and economic connections, acknowledging The Netherlands as a significant trading partner for Pakistan, and urged increased Dutch investment.

Climate change challenges were also a focal point, with both parties agreeing to maintain communication to further enhance bilateral relations between Pakistan and The Netherlands.
