Islamabad, In a significant move to bolster economic ties, Pakistan and Tajikistan have engaged in discussions to increase bilateral trade and investment. The talks, involving high-level officials from both nations, took place in Dushanbe and focused on several cooperative initiatives.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the meeting included Pakistan’s Minister for Privatization Abdul Aleem Khan, and Tajikistan’s Transport Minister Azim Ibrahim, along with Zavqizoda Zavqi Amin, the Minister for Economic Development and Trade. The discussions led to an agreement on several key initiatives aimed at enhancing connectivity and economic cooperation between the two countries. These include starting a pilot project at the ports of Gwadar and Karachi to boost organic exports, the construction of standard and spacious highways, and initiating at least one direct flight per week from Tajikistan to Pakistan.
