Pakistan and South Korea Celebrate 40 Years of Diplomatic Relations

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan and the Republic of Korea are observing the 40th anniversary of the establishment of their diplomatic ties today, reflecting on a history of warm relations and looking forward to deeper cooperation across various sectors.

According to Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Minister Jalil Abbas Jilani and his South Korean counterpart, Park Jin, exchanged congratulatory messages to celebrate the occasion, highlighting the strong bonds and cooperative spirit that have characterized the bilateral relations since their inception.

The Ministers acknowledged the multifaceted nature of Pakistan-ROK relations, including socio-cultural exchanges, economic cooperation, and the active role of their diasporas in fostering a robust partnership. They expressed their mutual intention to enhance engagements and collaboration in political, economic, cultural spheres and through people-to-people contact, underscoring the considerable potential for future collaboration.
