Pakistan and Singapore Explore New Manufacturing Partnerships


Singapore: On October 17, 2024, Pakistan’s High Commissioner to Singapore, Ms. Rabia Shafiq, engaged in strategic discussions with the Singapore Manufacturing Federation (SMF) to explore avenues for enhanced collaboration in manufacturing. The meeting, attended by SMF President Lennon Tan and other council members, focused on the potential for long-term cooperation between the two nations’ industrial sectors.



According to Press Information Department, High Commissioner Shafiq presented an array of investment opportunities within Pakistan, highlighting sectors poised for growth such as textiles, automotive, IT, and pharmaceuticals. The dialogue centered on creating innovative partnerships that could spur manufacturing development and fortify bilateral trade relations between Pakistan and Singapore.



The SMF, known for its significant role in supporting foreign investments in Singapore, is seen as a pivotal player in facilitating partnerships that bridge local and international businesses. This meeting marks a proactive step toward broadening Pakistan’s manufacturing base and integrating more deeply with Singapore’s advanced industrial ecosystem.
