Pakistan and Saudi Arabia Strengthen Ties for Enhanced Hajj Experience: Minister Aneeq Lauds ‘Road to Makkah’ Initiative

Karachi, Minister for Religious Affairs, Aneeq Ahmed, praised the Saudi government for their exceptional support in facilitating the upcoming Hajj pilgrimage during a meeting with Saudi Ambassador Nawaf Saeed Al-Malki in Islamabad. The minister highlighted the “Road to Makkah” initiative as a groundbreaking facility, simplifying immigration processes for pilgrims locally.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Minister Aneeq Ahmed lauded the Saudi government’s decision to handle immigration-related requirements of Hujjaj, or pilgrims, within Pakistan, terming it as a significant improvement for Pakistani pilgrims. The initiative, known as “Road to Makkah,” aims to streamline the travel process for those undertaking the Hajj pilgrimage.

During the discussion, the Minister emphasized his commitment to providing top-tier facilities to the pilgrims. He announced plans to visit Saudi Arabia next month to further review the arrangements for Hajj. This visit is seen as a step towards ensuring that the pilgrims receive the best possible assistance and services during their religious journey.

The Saudi ambassador, Nawaf Saeed Al-Malki, reassured full cooperation from the Saudi side for the facilitation of Pakistani pilgrims. He mentioned the introduction of innovative approaches to the Hajj arrangements, focusing on the convenience and safety of the pilgrims.
