Pakistan and Saudi Arabia Forge New Digital Alliances

Riyadh: Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication, Ms. Shaza Fatima Khawaja, visited the headquarters of GO Telecommunications Group in Riyadh to explore avenues for collaboration in digital infrastructure, artificial intelligence, and human capital development.

During the meeting, GO Telecommunications Group announced plans to establish the GO AI Hub Pakistan, a center focused on AI technologies and digital applications. This initiative is set to enhance knowledge transfer and capacity building between the two nations, with its official launch slated for October 2025.

Both parties emphasized the importance of future collaborations in expanding digital infrastructure, developing data centers, and creating a technical talent development center in Pakistan. These efforts align with a shared commitment to improving regional digital connectivity and innovation.

Ms. Khawaja expressed her appreciation for the technological advancements of GO Telecommunications Group and highlighted the “Digital Nation Vision Pakistan” under Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

Ms. Khawaja noted, “Pakistan and Saudi Arabia share a partnership aimed at mutual growth and digital progress. Initiatives like GO AI Hub Pakistan are vital for enhancing collaboration in emerging technologies and empowering youth.”

Mr. Yahya bin Saleh Al Mansour, CEO of GO Telecommunications Group, remarked on the potential for cooperation, stating that the Group’s expansion into Pakistan aligns with its strategic vision of forging strong partnerships with friendly nations.
