Pakistan and Saudi Arabia Forge Closer Investment Ties at Islamabad Conference

Islamabad, A significant step towards strengthening economic relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia was marked by the ‘Saudi Arabia-Pakistan Investment Conference’ held in Islamabad today. The conference, attended by a high-level Saudi delegation led by His Highness Prince Faisal bin Furhan A.F. Al Furhan Al Saud of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC), focused on enhancing strategic and economic partnerships through increased Saudi investments in key Pakistani sectors.

According to Press Information Department, the Foreign Minister of Pakistan underscored the longstanding ties and mutual strategic interests between the two nations. He detailed the efforts through the SIFC to streamline investment processes and ensure rapid decision-making, aiming to create an investment-friendly environment in Pakistan. The conference showcased promising opportunities in agriculture, IT, and mining, inviting Saudi investors to explore mutually beneficial ventures.

The Saudi delegation expressed significant interest in Pakistan’s evolving investment ecosystem and acknowledged the SIFC’s role in resolving legacy investment issues. They showed a keen interest in investing in Pakistan’s critical sectors, with the Pakistan side committing to provide maximum support and facilitation for Saudi investments.

To solidify these commitments, both sides agreed on a bilateral implementation mechanism to closely coordinate and execute investment-related matters, aiming to translate sovereign commitments into concrete economic outcomes. This initiative is expected to lead to significant economic growth and strengthen bilateral ties further.
