Pakistan and Saudi Arabia Conduct Joint Military Exercise in MuzaffargarhPakistan’s PM Pledges to Protect Civil Servants Against Social Media Harassment

Muzaffargarh, In a demonstration of military cooperation and strategic partnership, the Pakistan Army and the Royal Saudi Land Forces have successfully conducted a joint military training exercise at the Muzaffargarh Field Firing Range. The collaborative training focused on a variety of combat skills, including Combined Battle PT, Small Scale Operations, Room Clearance, Close Marksmanship and Firing, and Repelling, with the notable participation of Cobra helicopters.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, this joint exercise was designed to bolster the capabilities of both forces in the face of contemporary security challenges, particularly terrorism. The training sessions were intensively planned to include helicopter mounting and dismounting exercises, underscoring the emphasis on rapid deployment and mobility in counter-terrorism operations.

The bilateral military engagement between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia through these exercises serves not only to strengthen defense ties but also to foster mutual understanding and exchange of professional expertise. It provides a platform for both armies to align their operational strategies, enhance military readiness, and build upon each other’s strengths in pursuit of regional peace and stability.

Islamabad, In a determined move to uphold the integrity of the state’s apparatus, Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar has affirmed the government’s commitment to defending civil servants from undue pressures and harassment, particularly from campaigns waged on social media platforms. The statement comes in the aftermath of the recent elections, which resulted in a split mandate, highlighting the contentious political climate in Pakistan.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Kakar’s announcement addressed the concerns over certain groups leveraging social media to intimidate civil servants, attempting to coerce them into shifting their allegiance away from the Pakistani state. This practice, as outlined by Kakar, stands in clear violation of Article 5 among other constitutional provisions and national laws, posing a threat to the democratic fabric of the nation.

The Prime Minister condemned these actions as not only a breach of legal and constitutional duties but also as a direct attack on the loyalty and service of civil servants to the State and its people. Kakar’s administration has vowed to take stern actions against those behind this “malicious campaign,” promising exemplary punishment to safeguard the nation’s bureaucratic integrity.

This declaration underscores a broader initiative by the Pakistani government to ensure the security and independence of its civil servants amidst the challenges posed by digital platforms and social media’s growing influence on political dynamics.
