ISLAMABAD, In a move to strengthen bilateral ties, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have agreed to boost cooperation in the fields of Information Technology and Telecommunications. This understanding was reached during a meeting in Islamabad between Pakistan’s Minister for IT and Telecommunication, Dr. Umar Saif, and the Saudi Arabian Ambassador to Pakistan, Nawaf bin Said Al-Malki.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the discussion resulted in a mutual commitment to enhance collaboration. Dr. Umar Saif highlighted the enthusiasm of Pakistani IT firms to expand their operations into the Saudi market, while urging Saudi tech companies to consider the investment potential in Pakistan’s growing IT and Telecom sectors. The Saudi Ambassador assured his full support in this venture, including the facilitation of visas for Pakistani IT professionals looking to do business in Saudi Arabia.
