Pakistan and Saudi Arabia Aim to Boost Economic Partnership


Alula: In a significant move to fortify economic ties and regional collaboration, Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue, Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb, met with his Saudi counterpart, Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Jadaan, the Minister of Finance of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The meeting occurred during the Emerging Markets Conference in Alula, KSA.



According to a statement by Press Information Department, the discussions between the two finance ministers focused on enhancing bilateral trade, investments, and financial collaboration, with both parties expressing a commitment to fully realize the potential of their strategic partnership. Accompanying Al-Jadaan was Dr. Hamad Mohammed Al Sheikh, Minister of State and Member of the Council of Ministers, while Mr. Khurram Schehzad, Advisor to the Finance Minister of Pakistan, joined Senator Aurangzeb.



The meeting underscored the shared vision of both nations to build robust economic cooperation. Key sectors identified for potential collaboration included infrastructure, energy, technology, and finance. Both sides highlighted the importance of ongoing dialogue and joint initiatives to boost investment flows and create economic opportunities beneficial to the broader region.



The high-level talks reaffirmed the longstanding friendship between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan and set the groundwork for increased economic cooperation in the future.
