Islamabad: The joint counterterrorism exercise Druzhba-VII, involving the armies of Pakistan and Russia, concluded today at the National Counter Terrorism Centre in Pabbi, marking the end of a two-week intensive training that began on October 13, 2024.
According to Inter Services Public Relations, the exercise was attended by Special Forces from the Pakistan Army and 54 all ranks from the Russian Army. The closing ceremony was graced by Lieutenant General Fayyaz Hussain Shah, Inspector General Training and Evaluation of the Pakistan Army, and His Excellency Albert P. Khorev, the Russian Ambassador, both of whom witnessed the proceedings.
The exercise focused on refining military drills, procedures, and techniques, showcasing the highest standards of professionalism. It also aimed at strengthening the historic military ties between Pakistan and Russia, fostering mutual cooperation in counterterrorism efforts.
