Rawalpindi: Pakistan and Russia have pledged to enhance their collaboration in the areas of security and defense. This commitment was reinforced during a meeting between Russia’s Deputy Minister of Defence, Colonel General Alexander V. Fomin, and Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff, General Syed Asim Munir, held in Rawalpindi.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the discussions between the two officials focused on regional security dynamics and topics of mutual interest, particularly the enhancement of bilateral defense and security cooperation. General Syed Asim Munir emphasized Pakistan’s dedication to fortifying its traditional defense relations with Russia.
Colonel General Fomin acknowledged the Pakistan Army’s accomplishments in combating terrorism and emphasized the need for a unified and cooperative approach by the international community to address extremism.
