Pakistan and Romania Sign Protocol to Boost Bilateral Trade


Karachi: In a move to enhance economic ties, the Pakistan Romania Business Council (PRBC) and the Embassy of Romania in Islamabad have signed a protocol agreement aimed at boosting bilateral trade and cooperation.



According to Pakistan Romania Business Council, the agreement was signed by Mr. Eduard Preda, Charge d’Affaires a.i. of the Embassy of Romania, and Sohail Shamim Firpo, Chairman of PRBC, during a ceremony at the Romanian Embassy. The agreement highlights PRBC’s contributions since 2011 to promoting bilateral trade and acknowledges the recent expansion of PRBC through the creation of its North Chapter, which is led by Ahmad Ikram Lone.



The ceremony also marked the appointment of Atif Farooqi as the sole liaison between PRBC and the Romanian Embassy, recognizing his 24 years of dedication to fostering trade relations between the two countries.



Chairman Firpo expressed that this agreement represents a significant milestone for both nations, signifying a deeper commitment to enhancing trade and economic interactions. The Embassy of Romania reiterated its support for PRBC’s initiatives, reinforcing the mutual interests of strengthening the partnership.
