Islamabad, In Qatar, the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) and Qatar Emiri Air Force have commenced the joint aerial Exercise Zilzal-II. This exercise represents a significant step in military collaboration, aiming to enhance interoperability and operational readiness between the two allied nations.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Exercise Zilzal-II is one of the most complex joint air force exercises conducted between Pakistan and Qatar. It is designed to simulate near-realistic aerial warfare scenarios, providing a real-time opportunity for both air forces to assess and enhance their operational capabilities.
A key highlight of the exercise is the participation of PAF’s newly inducted state-of-the-art J-10C fighter aircraft, which will engage in mock combats with the Eurofighter jets of the Qatar Emiri Air Force. This marks the first-ever engagement between these advanced aircraft in a joint aerial drill, signifying a milestone in the military capabilities of both countries.
The exercise is also viewed as a critical step in improving the joint planning mechanisms between the two air forces. It stands as a historical benchmark, further cementing the existing defence partnership between Pakistan and Qatar, often referred to as brotherly countries due to their close military and diplomatic ties.
Exercise Zilzal-II showcases the commitment of both nations to maintain a high level of readiness and interoperability in their air forces, which is essential for effective response in various operational scenarios. This joint exercise is anticipated to yield significant benefits in terms of tactical training, strategic planning, and strengthening the defense collaboration between Pakistan and Qatar.
