Pakistan and Morocco Pledge to Enhance Relations through Parliamentary Friendship Group Initiatives


Islamabad: In a significant step towards strengthening bilateral relations, the Pakistan-Morocco Parliamentary Friendship Group convened its inaugural meeting at the National Assembly of Pakistan, focusing on enhancing ties through various cooperative initiatives.



According to National Assembly of Pakistan, the meeting was chaired by Mirza Ikhtiar Baig, MNA/Convener of the Pakistan-Morocco Parliamentary Friendship Group, and was attended by notable members including Syed Naveed Qamar, Ms. Shaista Pervaiz, and others. The gathering underscored the role of parliamentary diplomacy in fostering closer ties between the two nations.



During the meeting, both sides expressed a mutual desire to deepen bilateral and economic relations. The discussion also highlighted the importance of reviving the Joint Ministerial Commission to broaden cooperation across diverse areas of mutual interest. The Ambassador of Morocco emphasized his country’s intent to strengthen the economic ties with Pakistan.



The Parliamentary Friendship Group reiterated the commitment of both countries to enhance their relationship through regular interactions and emphasized the pivotal role such groups play in promoting people-to-people contact and parliamentary relations.
