Riyadh, Pakistan’s Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar met with Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim at the Joint Arab Islamic Extraordinary Summit in Riyadh. The focus of their discussion was on the ongoing crisis in Gaza and the enhancement of economic ties between Pakistan and Malaysia.
According to Press Information Department, Prime Minister Kakar reiterated Pakistan’s strong condemnation of the Israeli forces’ brutal campaign in Gaza, which has resulted in substantial loss of life and displacement. The leaders stressed the urgency of addressing this crisis. Additionally, the meeting covered bilateral relations, with a particular emphasis on strengthening economic cooperation. Prime Minister Kakar briefed Prime Minister Ibrahim about Pakistan’s Special Investment Facilitation Council, a comprehensive approach to attract foreign investments and improve the ease of doing business. They also highlighted the need for revitalizing the Joint Ministerial Commission and collaboration in vocational training and manpower export as vital areas for further cooperation.
