Pakistan and Libya Focus on Enhancing Military Collaboration


RAWALPINDI: In a significant development aimed at bolstering military ties, the Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Libyan Arab Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Saddam Khalifa Haftar, met with Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, in Rawalpindi. The meeting, which took place today, centered on mutual interests, regional security dynamics, and avenues for enhanced military cooperation.



According to Radio Pakistan, both sides emphasized the importance of strengthening bilateral defense ties and expanding cooperation in professional military training and security. Field Marshal Munir reiterated the Pakistan Army’s commitment to fostering peace, stability, and constructive engagement with friendly nations.



Lieutenant General Haftar commended the professionalism of the Pakistan Armed Forces and acknowledged their contributions to regional peace and security. Upon his arrival at the General Headquarters (GHQ), he was accorded a Guard of Honour by a tri-services contingent.
