Islamabad, A high-level delegation from the Republic of Kyrgyzstan, led by Ambassador Ulanbek Totuiaev, met with Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Federal Education and Professional Training, Madad Ali Sindhi, to discuss educational cooperation and digital learning initiatives.
According to Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training, the meeting focused on strengthening bilateral ties, particularly in education, technology, and research. Minister Madad Ali Sindhi highlighted the cultural and linguistic connections between Pakistan and Kyrgyzstan, emphasizing the potential for mutual benefit through the exchange of expertise and knowledge in vocational and technical training. He also stressed the importance of teacher training and the quality of education, areas that have been given high priority since he took office.
The Minister welcomed the idea of exchanging teachers and students to enhance mutual cooperation. He pointed out that digitalization of the education sector could address many current and future challenges. In this context, he highlighted the E-Taleem and Teleschool platforms developed by the Ministry to offer digital solutions in the public education sector.
Minister Sindhi recognized that 11,000 Pakistani students are currently studying in Kyrgyzstan and saw this as a step toward strengthening bilateral relations. He expressed interest in further collaboration on multilateral platforms, such as the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO). The Minister reiterated his commitment to resolving any issues faced by Pakistani students in Kyrgyzstan, emphasizing the importance of the youth as a key asset for the country.
Ambassador Totuiaev acknowledged the deep affiliation between the people of Kyrgyzstan and Pakistan. He suggested that university-to-university and technical institution-to-technical institution collaborations would be the way forward. The Ambassador briefed the Minister about a successful digital learning platform in Kyrgyzstan, prompting Minister Sindhi to propose an exchange of expertise in developing digital learning platforms.
Minister Sindhi praised the efforts of the current government in modernizing Pakistan’s education system and thanked the Ambassador for highlighting the cordial relations between the two countries. He concluded by emphasizing the shared history and literature of Pakistan and Kyrgyzstan, which forms the basis of their friendly relations.
